What a book costs. Stated before you start one.
One credit buys one finished book of up to 30,000 words: the print interior, the wrap cover, the ebook editions, the listing metadata and the preflight report. The limit is counted on the outline you approve, as the number of chapters times the words per chapter. An outline over it is refused, never charged more. Drafting and shaping the outline costs nothing. Buying is not open on this site yet, so these are the prices the checkout will open at, published now so they can be read first.

The terms
The rules that do not change with the price
Billing is not switched on. These are the terms the checkout will launch with, published now so they can be read before anyone is asked to pay, and they are what the credit ledger is already built to.
- Credits never expire
- No monthly reset, nothing forfeited at the end of a period, and unused credits on the monthly plan roll over rather than disappearing. Credits you already hold stay yours after you cancel. The credit ledger is built with no expiry rule in it, which is the version of this promise that is hard to quietly reverse.
- Unused credits are refundable for 30 days
- Thirty days from the purchase, by writing to us and saying which purchase. Generation you have already spent a credit on is not refundable: the model and rendering costs are already paid by then, and we would rather tell you that here than at the checkout. That is our policy, and it is not a statement about the rights your own law gives you.
- A book's credit is spent only when every chapter is written
- One credit is held for a book when we start writing its chapters. If writing a chapter fails and our automatic retries do not recover it, and that happens before anything past chapter one is written, the hold is released and the credit comes back to your balance. If it fails later than that, the credit stays held for that book rather than spent: asking for the chapter again takes no second credit, and the credit is spent when the last chapter is written. Typesetting and the print checks take no credit of their own, so a failure there costs nothing more. If a failed operation looks like it took a credit, tell us and we will investigate it and correct the ledger.
